Our commitments
Perpetual license
You buy it once, you own it. The version you purchase works forever. Annual maintenance is optional. It covers updates and bug fixes.
Source code escrow
This compliance tooling will never disappear out from under you.
No subscription creep
We will never convert a perpetual license to a subscription, or raise maintenance prices on licenses already issued. The terms you buy under are the terms that apply.
Questions
What does annual maintenance cover?
New features, bug fixes, and compatibility updates for the year. If you skip a year, your license keeps working. You can renew at any time.
What counts as "commercial use" for Trace?
If you're using it at work (even at a non-profit) that's commercial. Lab/Non-Commercial is for students, academic researchers, and personal projects with no commercial application.
Do all Live tiers get the same features?
Yes. Sheet sync, git scanning, test ingestion, BOM/SBOM, MCP, dashboard, and industry profiles are all included in every tier on the same binary. The tiers control how many people in your organization can run it. Individual is one person on one machine. Per Seat is named engineers on any machine. Site License is your whole org.
Why would I buy Site License instead of a few Per Seat licenses?
At 4 seats, the Site License is cheaper. But the real reason is operational: with a Site License, every engineer can run Live and query the graph through MCP from their own IDE. The firmware engineer asks "what requirements does this file implement?" The test engineer asks "which test cases are suspect?" Nobody waits on the quality engineer to run a query for them. The quality engineer sets up the profile and schema. Everyone else talks to the graph directly.
We need a purchase order or invoice. Can you do that?
Yes. Email us with your org name and the license you need. We'll issue an invoice.
Is there a trial?
RTMify Trace allows one free successful run before a signed license is required. If you want to evaluate the schema first, the template is still the right starting point: it is free, and Trace reads that exact workbook format. RTMify Live does not have a free-run mode; it requires a license from the start, and purchases are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What evidence types can Live ingest?
Today: test execution results (JSON via API or file inbox), hardware BOMs (CSV), and software BOMs (CycloneDX JSON, SPDX JSON). The inbox accepts all types in a single directory: drop a file and Live detects the type and routes it. We're adding more evidence types on a continuous basis.
